Scaling changes ingredient amounts, not equipment capacity or the instructions. Brew espresso shots separately; batch only within your equipment’s limits.

Ingredients

  • 40 ml espresso, measured by volume for this recipe
  • 40 ml milk

How to make it

  1. Brew about 40 ml espresso into a small heat-safe glass or cup. Crema makes volume approximate.
  2. Gently steam or warm 40 ml milk, keeping added foam minimal.
  3. Combine the milk and espresso.
  4. Serve immediately; it is meant to be small.
A note for your next cup

The name and proportions vary by region. Use equal volumes as a starting point, then tune the balance.
