Scaling changes ingredient amounts, not equipment capacity or the instructions. Brew espresso shots separately; batch only within your equipment’s limits.
Ingredients
- 36 g double espresso
- 120 ml cold milk
How to make it
- Brew your espresso into a small warmed cup.
- Steam the milk with only a little added air to create a smooth, glossy texture.
- Swirl until there is no obvious separate cap of stiff foam.
- Pour steadily into the espresso, stopping when the cup is comfortably full.
There is no single worldwide flat-white size or shot recipe. This is a useful home version, not an attempt to settle a café argument.
