Scaling changes ingredient amounts, not equipment capacity or the instructions. Brew espresso shots separately; batch only within your equipment’s limits.

Ingredients

  • 36 g double espresso
  • 180 ml cold milk or a steaming-friendly alternative

How to make it

  1. Brew a double espresso into a warmed mug.
  2. Steam cold milk in a suitable pitcher, introducing a little air at the beginning, then swirling the milk into a smooth texture. Follow your machine’s instructions.
  3. Tap and swirl the pitcher gently to remove large bubbles.
  4. Pour the milk into the espresso and serve, leaving only a light layer of foam on top.
A note for your next cup

No steam wand? Gently warm the milk and use a frother. The texture will be different, but the morning still works.
